Great space. Comfortable chairs (which is a must for me since I tend to sit for several hours). Great (natural) light. Overall a real pleasure. A long overdue addition to the neighborhood. A perfect solution for those of us who work best when they are alone in company. -DL, Google review

I am an older student that could not get anything done at home. I am so glad that I found Park Slope Desk! The space is nice and very quiet. Everything is here to help you be productive. -PK, Google Review
PSD offers an environment for seriously getting things done. The space is quiet and I have been ultra-productive there. Working there gets me away from conscious and unconscious distractions at home. Cafes are too busy for getting real work done - you think you're working, but after hours there it turns out you're not getting much accomplished - you're wasting time. I didn't truly appreciate this until I became a member, but it makes a huge difference in productivity. -OF, Yelp review
How Does It work?
Coworking, writers room, study hall, thought sanctuary: We provide you a "clear space" to concentrate on the thing at hand. Use us like a gym. You pop in there for your intense body workout. You drop in here intent on getting your work...out. Being in the company of other people serious about getting things done keeps you motivated.
We have a pool of desks, all individual use - not shared, where you can settle in to focus on the task at hand. Some in cubicles, for those who wish to cocoon, others not, for those who prefer open air. We have various room environments - choose according to your taste.
Amenities: private phone booths for calls, conference room, dine-in kitchen, fast internet, plentiful elec. outlets, ergonomic chairs, and unlimited coffee and tea. Open seven days, 7am - 1am.

Why get a desk here? Reasons other places don't work:
Coffee shops
Crowded. Hard to find a peaceful spot. Spotty internet. Limited elec. outlets. Uncomfortable chairs. Distracting chatter. Intrusive music. Movement all around. Fine for socializing. Getting things done? Not so much. :-(
Home
Isolation. Lack of a "clear space". Surrounding personal clutter. Stir-craziness. Distractions and temptations: TV, fridge, hobbies, mates, family. OK for living, not for getting things done.
Library
Table sharing - no solo desks. Noisy kids. No phone booths or meeting rooms. Inconvenient hours. Oh look, they have magazines and DVDs! Good for browsing, not for getting things done.
